Hewitt’s expertise in building lifting systems for all types of watercraft includes stock and fully custom solutions for float plane lifts. Cantilever and hydraulic float plane lifts, along with the Roll-A-Rail system can be configured to meet almost any need for a seaplane. Float plane lifts are available in sizes up to 170” wide x 240” long with weight capacities up to 18,100 lbs. Numerous accessories, guide options and remote control facilitate easy alignment, docking and operation. A well-designed system can reduce flight preparation time, aid maintenance and inspection, and protect your float plane from the damaging forces of wind and waves.

Cantilever Lift
A cantilever lift provides a strong, reliable foundation for an economical float plane lift. The model shown above is equipped with 2” x 6” wood bunks, guide tubes and a 20:1 Hewitt high-efficiency manual winch with hand wheel (powered winches with remote control optional).

Hydraulic Lift
Hydraulic float plane lifts offer the speed and convenience of a fully powered system with wireless remote control. 220V AC and battery operated DC models available. 12V and 24V DC systems can be configured with a solar panel charging option for use in remote locations. Photo above shows carpeted wood bunks for full length support and locking chest that houses the hydraulic pump and controls.

Roll-A-Rail
If you need a safe, reliable way to bring your float plane completely on shore for maintenance and/or storage, a Roll-A-Rail system can handle the job. Trolleys and guide systems can be custom-built specifically for your plane. Electric drive system with remote control operation.
